From what I understand the mirage is being renamed the Lancer, but it is not the same hot-rod from Japan. Apparently the Japanese version will not pass U.S. crash standards.

The Lancer is to replace the Mirage this fall. Rumor has it that an Evo will come along roughly one year from now. It'll probably have less hp than the 280 pony Japanese version though. I can't wait, hehe. Looks much better than the Sube but should have same performance.
