I had my steering wheel squeak for a while during the cold months of winter when I turned the steering wheel. I swear it sounded like it came from around the air bag/horn area. Turns out it was the bushings at the end of the steering wheel column were dry and needed to be lubed up. The sound travelled up the steering column and radiated through the top. Imagine that. My mechanic at the dealership did it for free during an oil change. You have to get under the car and I guess the bushings are right there at the end of the steering column if you want to do it yourslef. Don't quote me on this. It is what my mechanic said. Hope this helps. Good luck.
