1. putting fuel in with engine running is not real smart... as many back yard barbecue experts will attest. generally, it is a good idea to lessen the number of ignition sources when handling gasoline.

2. Speaking of ignition, if you take the gas cap off with the ignition key on, the computer thinks there is a loss of pressure in the fuel system and the check engine light comes on. "Check Engine" goes off after about 12 on-off cycles.
