Starting is the only situation it should operate.

My auto trans makes me depress the brake pedal to move the gear selector in many situations. I would rather do the thinking in this instance and I would like to learn whether anybody knows how to modify the M3 to eliminate this "safety" feature. Actually, I don't even know if this is a mechanical overide or if it is programmed.
