If you don't show up you will have a warrant out for your arrest. Second, you want to show up and then tell the judge you want to talk to the DA. The DA will then be able to tell you your options as far as a reduction in points and fine. Most likely you will have to pay the full fine and court fees and get some reduction in points. My brother had a wreckless driving ticket/street racing and in Colorado that is a 12 point ticket. He got it reduced to 3 points and still had to pay the $500 fine that comes along with it. Get ready to get your check book out.
