It was the summer of '87. Back then I was known as MNMOMSBUICKCENTURYSTATIONWAGON/4. I was racing my friend in his Cordoba when the long arm of the law decided to intervene.
The result was that I was charged with "careless driving". I ended up hiring a lawyer. He talked to the prosecuting attorney and they agreed to have me plead guilty to a simple speeding ticket.
The best thing for you to do would be to hire a lawyer to do your dirty work for you. Reckless driving is a gross misdemeanor just like drunk driving--you don't want that on your record.
If the $$$ of a lawyer scare you, definately follow everyone's advice and talk to the prosecuting attorney about a deal. When you talk to him/her, you are really asking for their help and advice. Have your story straight and be sincere. Believe me, this is small stuff compared to the things they see every day.
In the end, take this seriously but don't get an ulcer over it.
Good luck,
MNM3/4
