Does anyone know the size of the roundel on trunk? (archive)

I need to get a roundel for my trunk. Does anyone know the correct size?
I was told that it's either 3 1/4 or 2 3/4 but I can't measure it since I don't have my car here with me.
Please help me out. It's for an E36 325is.
