It used to be some crazed out religious fanatic would tie a bomb to himself and run at a bus or into a building. It seems theyíve taken their "game" to a new level. To orchestrate something this massive.... they would have had to train and prepare for months. This is beyond terrorism, its an act of was. Itís a well-planned military attack on US soil.
When is our government going to give up soft policies and actually go after these people? We could have taken out Sadam, we could have taken out Khomeini, we could have taken out Qadhafi, and the list goes on and on and on. There needs to be action, swift and blinding. I have a real hard time believing that the US government with all its power and influence cant find one turban wearing camel jockey in the middle of the desert (and my parents are middle eastern so its ok for me to say that). Bush spoke a few minutes ago saying we can get through this. That our great nation has resolve. Thatís really not what I wanted to hear. I wanted to hear him commit all our efforts to ridding the world of an asshole like bin Ladin. I wanted to hear anger in his voice; I wanted to hear him say there would be retaliation against not only this terrorist group but every other known one too. Maybe I'm idealistic and have lost touch with reality.
You guys know why there were no terrorist attacks on the Soviet Union after the 70's? From what I understand the KGB found the terroristís families, tortured them, cut off their genitals, stuffed them into the bodiesí mouths and then returned them to their homes. After that there were no more terrorist attacks against the Soviet Union. Thatís the kind of shit the US needs to do to send out a message. Some people may say itís not our style; we have policy against that sort of thing. Well, I say fuck policy. There is no fighting dirty. If someone fucks with you, then you fuck right back. Show them youíre ability and theyíll back down.
After attacking Pearl Harbor the admiral in charge of the Japanese forces was quoted as saying, "I cant help but think today we have woken up a sleeping giant"... I think its time for the giant to wake up once again.
