Bombing is never more effective unless you were to nuke the place. there is a famous account by an Iraqi regimental commander. in the 40 days that we bombed his republican guard regiment they suffered 15% casualties. when our armored cav regiment rolled through, his tanks were 100% gone in less than 2 hours!

I've served in korea for a year less than 30 miles from the DMZ, and was in Kosovo with the 1st wave of troops, i completely understand the risks involved.

however, when we bomb someone, it is perceived as the easy way around a difficult problem, it's as simple as that.

when did they sign the peace accord during the kosovo fiasco? when there was a credible threat that NATO was prepared to commit ground forces.

while i'm on inactive reserve now, i could easily be called up. hell yes that would suck
