a rodchester hills (chrysler HQ) firm designed the building to withstand a "direct hit from a airline", per the proposal issued by the construction company. (source-detroit free press)

better check the calculations, pal. your firm is 0 for 2. go back to designing ugly downtown detroit buildings. That firm is an embarrasment to our country.

If these fools could have done a better job the magnatude of this "hit" would be a fraction of what it is. The spin would be more like, "yeah, run a freakin plane into our buildings, nothing can topple us! Go back to the drawing boards!We took your best shot and nothing!"
