If it is the work of terrorists such as Bin Laden hiding in Afghanistan, we must deploy troops, captuer him, and bring some peace to warlord Afghanistan who has seen nothing but civil-war since the soviets pulled out.

I know a lot of Afghans, they have nothing against America, it's the terrorists hiding in their country protected by warlord governmets (i.e. Taliban) who need to be removed from power forcefully.

Missle attacks cant gurantee that we can capture or hurt terrorists. You have to go in and capture them and bring them to justice to show the terrorist groups that no messing around with the USA.

believe me, i wish there enough sf troops to do the job. unfortunately, if Afghanistan is involved and dare say iraq, then i'm not sure we have a choice

we have options that are somewhere btw a full scale deployment and a sf operation. remember, sf ops mostly involve <20 man teams

also, it's not like the army fights against military installations, we are trained to seak and destroy the enemy. now, the terrain their sucks and it won't be as easy as the flat desert in iraq- just ask Russia. but, we're fighting a relatively small group here who, i hope, does not have the sympathy of the average afghan
