hmmm.... because religion is an outdated concept from a long time ago when people knew nothing other than what was around them.
there was no TV, no newspapers, no modern legal system.
there were people preaching their own thoughts and beliefs and persuading enough others to follow them that they created "religion".
new religions cropped up over the years because certain individuals didn't like the "rules" of the existing religion. so they created their own branch, or new one just to suit their own needs.
As the modern world evolves we will soon see that religion will become more extreme in certain countries where people have no freedom, and nonexistant in countries where the people have freedom. This is simply because freedom of thought is not preached in any religion.
Also, isn't the common belief in all religions to covet life? it certainly is not to kill others who have different beliefs.
All religious extremist are a threat to the free world.
