real danger of running lean is heat production, then detonation (knocking, pinging). Our cars run knock sensors and very aggressive programming to prevent knock. Accordingly, the likelihood of damaging your motor is extremely low.

Besides, the sw calibrated for your bolt ons only makes minor adjustments, unlike new sw for forced induction.
