I have 97 M3 estoril blue coupe and I say that you should DRIVE IT!!! That's what I do.

Perhaps a weird request, but kinda perplexed on use and treatment of my recently acquired 1998 estoril blue M3/4 w/5 speed. The car's first 35,000 miles appears to be adult driven, but the car does not appear to have been loved. Curb rash, some minor scratches in the paint, DOT-R panels. I don't mean to make the car out as in poor shape, it isn't at all. Friends think it looks new. Anyway, not sure if I should pour some money into it to make it absolutely pristine (fix curb rash, etc..), or just use it with an average amount of care. I would always properly maintain it. I guess the answer may lie in how long I plan to keep it (5+ years), or what the value may be for these cars that far down the road. My model and options seems to be a bit rare, but who knows what it really is worth. More worrisome to me is what to replace it with in the future. An Audi S4 is pricey, the 330i is just not the same, and there is no 4 door M3 nowadays. Maybe I answered my own questions, but thoughts from this group are appreciated.
