Well, my clutch isn't gone yet. I am experiencing slipping during relativly quick shifts. In fact, I have to let off of the gas for the clutch to fully engage. There was a post earlier about a clutch delay valve, but I guess my car (97 M3) doesn't have one.
What do you recommend for a clutch? This car is slowly being transformed into a streetable track car, and I need something in line with that. I am thinking of going with a lightened flywheel (have to adjust idle I am sure) and then a race type clutch. Money is an issue, but if I am going to spend the money, I might as well get something good. Thank your for all of your help.

clutch. Check Zygmunt for price. They were the lowest I could find. I'm thinking around $550. I read, recently, about someone getting a Paeco clutch for about the same price. There are others, like AA, that run $700-1000. I couldn't find an application from Centerforce, but I recently read of someone who was selling them for M3s. If your clutch is slipping as badly as you say, you will probably have to replace the flywheel. Cheapest aluminum I've seen is around $550. I haven't priced them, but I think the factory dual mass is very spendy.

I just replaced the clutch in my '97. I got an OEM Sachs from Zygmunt for $232, free shipping.

Good luck. Jay
