Because when I looked at it under a street light one night, it reminded me of how Stephen King described the antagonist in his novel "Christine."

From the front, the low slung car's headlamps seemed to glare at me. It looked sinister. Evil almost, with its red paint resembling dried blood.

Of course, I don't admit this to many people, hehe.
