change the oil before and after you park it, and also, top off ALL fluids, not just fuel. You're pretty much all set ;)

Well, it's mid-October and I'm going to store my ‘97 M3/4 from November through March. I'll miss it but it's a low mileage GA car that's never seen snow. I can't bear to expose it to salt and those horrible potholes we get during the winter here in Chicago.

I've read the owner's manual on storage and basically all it says to overinflate the tires, pull the battery and treat the rubber if you're going to store the car for > 3 months. I know other common sense things like top off the fuel tank and leave the windows open a crack to prevent condensation.

Does anyone have any other tips? I've heard there are mats you can put under the tires which prevent flat spots but I have no idea of where to find them.
