Get in, start up, and wait. The car will idle rough during the first minute. You'll feel the car shake and choke, but its normal. Then the RPM will rise up a few hundred RPM and then settle down. Just sit there for another minute or three, and then drive off slowly. Don't dog your car just yet. Take it slow and keep the RPM low for the first 5-10 minutes. After that, your oil temperature should reach an optimum level of 180 degrees. Then, have fun!
