Do M3 engines lasts as long (archive)

Hi All,
Since having my 328i totalled i have been looking into M3's whence i read that the M3 engine is a bored and stroked version of the 2.8l version. While the 2.8l motor is 84mm * 84mm, the M3 is bored and stroke to make the bigger displacement of 3.2l .
So does this mean the M3 motor will not last as long as the standard 2.8l version.
