I would go with the M3. I had a 328 the 2.8l version from where the M3 is derived from and if the 328 is any indication of the M3's performance then definitely go for the M3.
My driving style is aggressive and i always felt gratified with the 328 (2.8l) engine.
The M3 (3.2l) is a more powerful motor and the traction handling and cornering will be amazing. Except for snow i would say that the M3 will outperform the S4 in all departments.

Ok .. here is the deal .. i know there have been a lot of posts on this before .. but im trying to decide between a 2000 S4 and a 98-99 M3 ...

I'd like to hear your thoughts as BMW owners about the M3 .. looked in the archives, but didnt see much except immature responses like .. "the audi is a glorified volkswagon" .. even if this is true, i'd like to stick to the facts about the two car, and not try to name call. So what makes the M3 better then the S4 ..

Granted the M3 looks a lot meaner then the S4 .. but the Audi seems to be a better with its AWD, 6 spd, turbo, and it's more refined interior .. ok thanks .. bye
