the question you ask is too vague. Both manufactures offer cars which:

1. at the low end are nothing but stock mustangs with stickers and maybe exhaust
2. at the high end are supercharged... or even equipped with 351 windsor motors with a supercharger (400+ hp).

If you have more information on the car, then I can help you out more.

PS- FWIW, I have a 420 rwhp 86 Mustang GT sitting in my garage. 122 mph in the 1/4 mile on street tires. Car is setup for SCCA Solo II Street Modified and is open-tracked at every opportunity. It is the 5th mustang I've owned...
