Hey i have a suggestion. Both my cousin and another friend of mine both have 2000/2001 S4's.. i have a 97 M3. I think you should also go to the AudiWorld forums and see what they say about M3's that way you'll hear there side of it also. I think the S4 is a more practical all around car and if you can get away with chipping it can be very fast.. they say as fast or faster than the e46.. and a lot of torque too... just a suggestion



S4 is fast, and moddable. But M3 just makes you feel special.

are you going to mod either car? if so go with the S4. Its a Turbo.... you can get 400hp out of an S4 without a sweat. You have to drop some serious coin on the M3 to get those kind of numbers. I think the M3 looks a lot better. Out of the box the M3 handles better as well. But I guess if your doing mods a few suspension upgrades would tip the scale towards the S4. Both are great cars from great makers. I think the M3 has something the S4 cant boast and thats a race bred haritage. For me its all about the M.
