Ok here's my issue. 1995 M3 - 39K miles. Brake pads just replaced (concern occured before replacement too), caliper boot & piston condition fine, Brake hose solid as a rock. No ABS light at all. When the car uses the ABS system (like on the highway) as opposed to normal braking. The left front caliper will hang up applying pressure and won't let go. i know this because you can smell the brake pad and feel the vibration of the rotor (or of ABS pulsating, can't completely tell which). Then after a little while it will suddenly break loose and brake fluid pressure receeds. Could last a couple of minutes or a full day (depending how much driving is done). This only occurs on the one caliper. What could it be? I might take it to the stealer on Monday, but there isn't a light on and not sure if it will spit out a code. I've heard a couple of things that might cause it. Like a wheel speed sensor not sending a proper signal to the ABS module, telling it to pulsate or release. Or that it might be an inlet valve binding in the ABS control module (which means replacement cost of $1000). Has anyone seen or heard of this before? Any remedies?
