Upon failing my VA state inspection due to the fact that my rear Pilot Sports are down to the wear bar, I had to order a new set. They look and still feel pretty damn good to me. Someone suggested I keep them for a track event...which I have yet to do but hope to in the coming year.

Question is: would it be better to have your streets on or a pair of tires with more surface patch (less tread) for a school event?
