but you know that it is a floating caliper right?

So if the piston did or did not receed right wouldn't really matter if the caliper was binding up on the guide bolt.

"Clean the guide bolts, but do not lubricate"

Also has a torque spec there...perhaps you overtorqued it.

I could also be totally wrong.
