I get the smell periodically too, but only when I exit the car, say, in my garage. I've been told it's the catalytic converter and that changing the gas brand may help. I've been using Exxon all this time but have very recently switched to Amoco. Let's see if the smell goes away!
When ever i get on the gas hard in my car it makes a sulfury smell. It also makes a odd sound that sounds almost like a turbo blowing off into the exhaust when i down shift or let my foot off the pedal. Any ideas? Problems? its a 95 with 46 k miles.
