You need to replace the switch on the body of the car where the door lathces onto. If you look there is a little black plastic switch that wears down over time and therefore it doesn't get pushed in all the way when you close the door and will cause the symptoms you are having. My brother put a couple of pieces of black electric tape on it and hasn't had any problems since.
The dealer wanted $50 for the part and an hour of labor @ $85
