The slats are held by eight pins that arer molded wiht the front bumper and are secured by tinnerman nuts. Two on top, two on bottom, two on left side and two on righ side. You have to go from behind to remove them. This would be a PIA. The mesh grill you would have to order from any one of those websites or the dealer. I kept my slats becuase of personal preferance. Hello everyone. I have a 97 M3/4 with the luxury package so the lower front bumper has the 3 slots instead of the mesh grill cover. I was wondering if anybody in this board has uninstalled the slots and replaced them with the mesh grill cover and where to get it. TIA.
