It depends on your (and your wife's) preferences.
What specific things are you looking for?
If you don't mind paying for the higher insurance, gas bills, and perhaps maintenance costs, then buying a M3 is certainly a good choice.
Personally, I don't think M3s are any more luxurious than 325s. Save the M3 luxury package, you can pretty much get all the standard/optional amenities on both 325s and M3s.
The differences are, M3s have more sporty seats (so called vader seats, which are rather uncomfortable in my opinion), nicer cosmetic enhancements, bigger wheels, bigger motor, better suspension, and more rigid frame.
Talking about being exclusive, I don't think M3s are considered rare cars in Southern Kali. Just go to one of the 99 ranch markets in L.A. and you'll see M3s all over the parking lot like Honda Accords.
If you want to be exclusive, then you should modify your car. Either M3s and 325s offer great mod. potentials. Jon
I need to convince the wife that the additional bucks for a M3 over a 325is is worth it. So give me specifics, what are the differences (other than the motor and interior)? tell me about differences in brakes, suspension, etc
