Acceleration, The supra absolutely dominates. But handling and braking, the supra has always fallen behind the E36 M3 on all published comparisons.

Well, not exactly. I own a 2000 M Coupe and 1997 Toyota Supra TT. The Supra is very conservatively rated at 320hp, and basic modifications (i.e. BPU, as described by Supra enthusiasts) will easily add another 100hp. A stock Supra will destroy any normally aspirated E36 M3. The Supra's braking performance is also phenomenal.

The only downside to the Supra is the limited availability of low mileage, unmodified examples.
