Just give it some time. If you use the "toe" portion of your right foot for braking and the "heel" of it for the throttle, it will soon come. I did not have to change anything with my pedals. Just practice. I remember trying it for ever but then it suddenly just came to me. (Just like riding a bike!) You'll soon find that doing it is just as easy as pushing in the clutch. I can "heel and toe" with anything from dress shoes, Tevas, and slippers. Don't let anyone tell you it needs to be done with special shoes.

You'll be pysched the first time you do it and you can go deeper into the corner with perfect balance and then be in the right gear to squirt out! After, learn how to double de-clutch for more shifting accuracy.
