Transmission fit from 328/M3 into 325 (archive)

My trans is crunched.

A discussion on another board led to the conclusion the M3/328 trans is internally the same. Therefore, if so I would like one for my turbo 325. Can anyone confirm this?

Also, should be direct bolt in? My mech is not keen on swaps unless I give him all the details (plus it costs much more for him to figure it out).
