the most important thing to consider is the cut of the diamond-- color/clarity/size are useless w/o a well cut(ideal)diamond that reflects the maximum incoming light.

I'm looking to buy an engagement ring soon.. I know of the HUGE markup in jewelry and would prefer not to get raped - wheres the best place to get a diamond engagement ring? I've heard people on this board mention wholesale places to get them at good prices.. Please help me out! ...Looking for around F color / VS2 clarity, round, around 1ct or so.. Thanks!
