Jim C. has a chip for 96-99 M3's, and it claims a increase of 34 peak hp, and 40 peak torque, but thats just what it said.

Scott

And the Bavarian Autosport catalog says 40 HP for OBD II (I think they use the Shark). I just find that impossible to believe. I've heard no one on here pipe up with documented power gains. Until then, I'd never fork over the 400 bucks for something this questionable.

AA is more honest. They say their reprogram gives 16 horses....with their intake and exhaust. The majority is probably due to the intake and exhaust. While I certainly trust the quality of their stuff, I wouldn't want to pull my ECU and send it to 'em.

Chips are only worth it on turbo cars, but only because they raise the boost. IMHO.
