I currently own a 328i motorsport, i want to change it for a M3 or M3 evo, firstly is there alot of difference between the 328i(193bhp) and the M3? Also my 1995 328i is pre traction control, would the M3 stick to road better in wet conditions??

The difference between the 328 and M3 is huge, bearing in mind that they (M3s) have 286bhp (or 321 on the Evos), better suspension, brakes and image and look. On this side of the waters, the purchase cost (non new) is close and only the running costs sets the M3 apart from the "crew". So buy the M3. As for the difference between the early and Evos, I prefer the earlier, My father has a 98 evo and I have 95 3.0L. Down the strip and on 0-60 sprints, we clock similar times on both cars, irrespective of whom is driving what car. The good side is, I pay less on insurance for having an early version (despite being 30yrs younger). Admittedly, my car is chipped, so maybe thats why I have similar performance. If you can afford it though, buy as new a model as possible and that would be leaning towards the evo.
Just out of interest, were the non Evos available in the states after 96.... They were discontinued in Europe in 96?
