M3 Suspension: Differences between 95 & 96+ (archive)

I'm looking into getting H&R coilvers for my 95 M3 and I noticed that there are two different kinds of coilovers--95 and 96 and up. How did BMW change the M3 suspension for 96+ and can I upgrade my 95 suspension to accept 96 and up coilovers? Thanks.
