96s+ don't have a chip you have to get a software upgrade, which is basically you take it to Dinan or get the shark injector(those are the only two I know of) and plug it into the port an download the new software, the computer is located behind the glovebox. 95s actually have a chip that you can take out because of OBDI, but 96s+ ave OBDII so they don't technically have a chip you remove and replace.
