Thanks for the informative email, Bill. I am planning on a DIY job probably. I know next to nothing about car audio at this point, but am a certified electrician and pretty handy. I am in the research phase right now. If I don't end up feeling confident about the install, I will have it done professionally.

1) What kind of music do you listen to.

Just about everything. I think I would like it optimized for rock.

2) Do you like a lot of bass

yes.

3) Do you prefer boomy bass or tight, accurate bass.

tight, accurate bass with quality over volume.

I was thinking about the stealthboxes, but I heard they do not fit in the sedans. I will have to visit their website. Also, I would prefer not to get rid of the rear fill speakers.

I was also surprised that you recommended Diamond. I was thinking of a/d/s, which I have heard. It is tough to decide on speakers when you only can hear them in a stereo showroom and not in your car. I think I will go to the next BMW meet and listen to everyones stereos before my final decision.

Whay do you recommend putting the tweeters in the kick?

Thanks again for the info.
