Your input would be greatly appreciated;

1) Does all 99 M3's gear stick nob illuminate when the driving lights are turned on?

2) All 99 M3's are blessed with the 3.2 liter motor right?

The reason why I am asking these questions is because I am in the market for a used M3 and recently the last M3 I looked at did not have the illuminated gear stick nob and also the carfax came back clean. (The car was actually involved in an accident sometime in it's short life.) The car fax indicated the engine was a 3.0 L? Could this be right? I thought all 99 M3's inherited the 3.2 liter motor.
