Removing the OEM unit takes a small allen wrench. The stock head unit uses an internal screw tensior that really isn't tight at all...you'll understanf when you pull it.

On the stock headunit...gently pry 2 flaps, 1 on either side of the head unit, that conceal these screws.

Once undone, the head unit slides right out. You'll have to gently pry off the stock car to head unit connector. It's a big 2" block full of wires.

As far as MP3 head units...So far I've seen some from Sony, Rockford, Blaupunkt and JVC on the Crutchfield site. I'd visit Crutchfield, get a jist for what you want feature-wise...

And then visit www.ikesound.com to buy the head unit. You'll get nearly a 40% discount and those are the people I buy my stereo stuff from. Plus shipping is free.

Rewiring the head unit wires to the stock set-up is really easy. It will take some time, but about an 1 or 2 tops.
