final gear ratio. Its higher in the 96 + m3's -(3.25) compared to the 95 m3 -(3.15). However the above poster was correct. The 96 + m3 OB2 computer is intrusive and makes it a bitch to mod. Chips and other mods are easily attainable for 95 m3's but are more expensive and scarce for the 96 and above m3's.

With a few mods you can easily surpass the negligible advantage the stock 96 m3's had over the 95.
