I just cleaned mine last weekend. Good old soak in gas (just like the good old motocross days), let dry for a few hours, reoil. Gas WILL NOT harm the filter or it's glue and it is the best and easiest way to get it REAL clean. You definitely need to reoil it with their spray to stopped dirt from going into your engine.
