I don't think there is harm in trying to fill it again and seeing where it comes out.

Give you a good idea of what was going on...of course it isn't like you can do a whole lot about it:P So I guess just taking it to the mechanic is a good move.

I wonder how fast the fluid loss was. Are you going to drive it to the mechanic...be careful, it is a heavy car and those tires are wide...not fun without power assist.
