Need a re-dye on the leather seat component (archive)

Some bright auburn hair dye caught at myeye at the groceries store, so I decided to take some home with me. I put it away in my cabinet and low and behold the next day as I was going to get this hair dye it found it all over my cabinent and dripping onto my tiles. Anyway, it suddenly occured to me that might I be able to apply this hair dye to my leather seat attire. Has anybody used groceries store hair dye on their M3 and what were the results?
