The coolant pump itself runs $40-$50. Definately a DIY job. Do a search, there are several help pages around if you are unsure of what you are doing. While you're at it, replace the oem plastic coolant manifold with a cast aluminum unit available from AA or BMP, t-stat, and the two radiator hoses. Maybe $100 in parts, and an afternoon of your time.
