225/47/17 is too tall for that car. Why go mismatched sizes? You don't have the power to need them.

I have a 1997 318i.

I plan to buy 17inch rims w/ the folowing tire sizes.

Front 225/45 ZR17 (17 inch Rim)

Rear 245/40 ZR17 (17 inch Rim)

My question is: With this configuration will I be able to lower the vehicle an 1 or 1/2 inches?? I plan to also buy H&R lowering springs. Let me know if anyone has tried this and if it will work. Thanks,
Jon
