: Hello everyone I am a M3 fan and I am looking to buy a 95 M3, but something else has also caught my eye. a 1988 Black M5 with tan leather , I just got back from looking at the car here is the description.
: I got there and i knocked on the door and a 75 year old man walks out with a set of BMW keys. He opens the gaurage and there is a Mint condition 88 M5. He started the car and he brought it out of the gaurage. The car looks like it has never seen sunlight. The black paint is like brand new it has no swirls or dings. The car has 43,600 miles on it all by the original owner ( a 75 year old man ) . Everything about the car says " IM Brand new " . The interior looks like it has never been sat in before the leather is soft and does not have 1 crack. The dash is also like new . I drove the car and it is very very very I mean very quick. You hear nothing but the engine when you are driving it. Everything is power and everything works , the ac is ice cold. I looked over the service history and it has been serviced by the local BMW Dealer ( In Houston Tx. ) The car is in all respects New , he is asking $15,000. He is selling it because he hurt his knee and he can no longer drive a manual and he wants to get a automatic car. Can anyone give me any advce about buying this car? Do they run for a long time? What problems can I run into? Is this car a good deal?
prior to buying my A4 (I know they are nothing alike but I just love German cars) and everything I found was way up there in the mileage category and I just wasn't sure if I wanted to pay 20k plus for a 10 year old car. BUY IT and let me live vicariously through you! Good luck in your decision.
