While inspecting my 88 M5 last night I found a broken passenger side motor mount. This is the second time this mount has broken, the first time being a shortly after I acquired it in October '96.
Is this a common occurrance with this model? Is it just due to enthusiastic driving? Who else has seen multiple instances of motor mount breakage?
I did get the extra-hard M-version mount last time, I seem to remember being told that they come in three versions, green, black and gray with gray being the hardest and being used for the S38 motor.
I just didn't think I was flogging it that hard.
