I am in the market for a 1991 E34 M5, and need some advice. Basically I need to know what I am getting into, before I make the decision. Granted, every car is different but I wouldn't buy any car unless is was in good condition and well maintained. My concern though is that I drive a fair amount per year, and have averaged 25-30k per year on my 325is. Since the average mileage for a well maintained 91 M5 appears to be around 60k-ish, I will be running the miles up on it fairly quickly. Am I buying trouble in the long run? While I REALLY (no, REALLY REALLY!) want a M5 (Heck, and the perfect 88 M6, and while I am dreaming a M-Roadster as well!) I just don't want extra car costs to eat me out of house and home.
Any advice or opinions are welcome!
