Why don't you guys check to see what the core charge is on a rebuilt one? Try Metric Mechanic, as they do rebuilds. If you come to a conclusion please post, I'd be interested too.
And yes, I have seen several people assert that the 260/5 from a 535, of a 265 from an E36 M3 will fit, though I don't know but you might have to modify the driveshaft (shorten or lengthen).
